Check your battery percentage is minimum 40% or more than before rooting your Nexus 5X
- Download and install Nexus 5X USB driver in to your computer, if already installed skip that step.
- Enable Developer Option
Settings->About Phone-> Tap on built number until developer option is enable
- Enable USB debugging on your Nexus 5X
- Again go back to Settings-> Developer Option-> Enable OME Unlocking and USB Debugging
- Power off on your Nexus 5
- While power off press the volume down button and power button to enable fast boot mode
- Connect Nexus 5X in to the computer via USB cable.
- Download and Extract Auto Root tool on your computer.
- Open “root-windows.bat”file from extracted files.
- Once it opened you will see the following window
- Press any key on your key board to start root process
- Then you will see unlock bootloader screen on your Nexus 5X
- Select “Yes”using volume up/down and power button to continue
- Now you will see the Fast boot screen with disable lock state. Now you have unlocked the bootloader successfully on your Nexus 5X.
- Now rooting process will be continue by showing Red Android logo. Once it completed your Nexus 5X will be restarted.
- Once your Nexus 5X restarted you will see the welcome screen.
- Now your Nexus 5X is rooted successfully.
- To confirm rooting your Nexus 5X open the app menu, you will see new App call SuperSu. You can confirm rooting nexus 5X using “Root Checker” App also.
